I am posting the paper that I am presenting at ETS this week. This paper grew largely out of conversations with atheist and agnostic friends about abortion and poverty. The argument described in the paper stems mostly from their arguments as well as arguments I have heard or read in other settings. I hope that my research will help Christians address poverty and abortion in a way that reflects God’s concern and desires for women and children and that it will enable us to engage better with friends when we discuss Christian ethics and the moral objections those friends have to the Christian faith.
